400 V8 / Sniper 2
Modern EFI, original small-block character.
Two brothers. Two Jimmys.
One legacy coming full circle.
A frame-off restoration by Headwaters Customs • Big Timber, Montana
EXPLORE THE BUILD ↓Our vision
Jimmy Reprise will be unmistakably a 1979 GMC High Sierra: dark brown metallic, a clean white center band and white removable top. Its stance will be purposeful, with a 2.5–3-inch lift, Bilstein shocks, 33-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires and six-lug Rally-style wheels with beauty rings and GMC center caps.
Underneath, a restored chassis, the familiar 400 small-block and Turbo 400, modern fuel delivery, upgraded brakes and steering, and discreet heating and air conditioning will make this classic as enjoyable to drive as it is to look at. Brown houndstooth upholstery and period-correct trim finish the cabin. The goal is a Jimmy that looks right, drives confidently and is ready for another generation.
